This pack gives you 1000 gold leaf sheets in 8×8 cm size, A Grade quality, made in our own Jaipur workshop by SUMERA WARQ®. One full bundle of 1000 gold leaf sheets works out to about ₹1 per sheet, which is the lowest rate we offer in this size.
A Grade is our top imitation leaf. The colour is brighter and more even, there are fewer pinholes, and the edges are cut clean, so less goes to waste while you work. Every sheet sits between tissue papers and lifts in one piece instead of tearing.

Note: this is imitation gold leaf for art, craft and decoration use. It is not edible and not real gold. For edible work we make separate FSSAI-licensed pure gold and silver warq.
How to apply gold leaf
Start with a clean, smooth, dust-free surface. On wood or MDF, apply a base coat of primer or yellow-ochre paint first. This hides small gaps in the leaf and makes the gold look deeper.
Brush on a thin, even coat of water-based gold leafing glue and wait until it turns tacky rather than wet, usually 10 to 15 minutes. It will look slightly milky and feel sticky to a light touch. Too early traps moisture; too late and the leaf will not hold.
Lift one sheet with its tissue, lay it on the surface and press gently with a soft gilding brush or cotton. Overlap each sheet by 2 to 3 mm so no gaps show, and work in one direction. Finish by brushing away loose bits and sealing with clear lacquer or varnish so the gold does not tarnish. The basic method is the same one used in traditional gold leaf gilding across the world.
How far does a bundle of 1000 gold leaf sheets go?
Each 8×8 cm sheet covers roughly 64 sq cm before overlap. Allowing for 2 to 3 mm overlap and normal handling loss, one bundle of 1000 gold leaf sheets covers about 55 to 60 square feet of flat surface. On carved murti and mandir work the coverage is lower, because the leaf has to follow the shape.

FAQ
Is this real gold? No. These 1000 gold leaf sheets are imitation leaf made from a copper-zinc alloy, meant for art, craft and decoration. They are not edible.
How many booklets are in one bundle? The 1000 sheets come as tissue-interleaved booklets, rubber-banded together into one sealed bundle.
Will the gold turn black? Not if you seal it. Imitation leaf tarnishes only when left open to air and moisture, so finish every job with a clear lacquer or varnish.
