This Privacy Policy explains how SUMERA WARQ (proprietor: Sarfaraz Khan, Jaipur, Rajasthan) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit sumerawarq.in, place an order, or contact us. It is written in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SUMERA WARQ, and “you” means the person whose data we process.

2. What personal data we collect

  • Order details: name, mobile number, email address, billing and shipping address, city, state and PIN code, and GSTIN if you provide one.
  • Enquiry details: information you share through our contact or service enquiry forms, WhatsApp, phone or email (for example, the type and size of gold leafing work).
  • Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner. We do not see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank login details. We only receive the payment status and transaction reference.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and cookie identifiers, collected automatically when you use the website.

We collect only the data needed for the purposes below. We do not knowingly collect data from children (see section 9).

3. Why we use your data

  • To process, pack, ship and deliver your order, and to handle returns, refunds and cash-on-delivery.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates and tracking links by SMS, email or WhatsApp.
  • To reply to your enquiries and provide quotations for our gold leafing services.
  • To remind you about an order you started but did not complete at checkout.
  • To prepare invoices and keep records required under GST and other Indian laws.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent fraud, and understand how visitors use it so we can improve it.
  • To show you relevant advertisements on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google (only through cookies you allow; see section 6).

4. Your consent

By ticking the consent box at checkout or on our forms, you give us your consent to use your personal data for the purposes listed above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to help@sumerawarq.in. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. After withdrawal we will stop processing your data, except where we must keep it by law (for example, GST invoices) or to complete an order already placed.

5. Who we share your data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

  • Shipping and courier partners (such as Shipmozo, Delhivery, Ekart and other couriers) to deliver your parcel.
  • Payment gateway (PhonePe) to process online payments.
  • Website hosting and email (Hostinger) where our website and emails are stored.
  • Messaging (WhatsApp) for order updates and customer support.
  • Analytics and advertising (Meta / Facebook and Google) through cookies and pixels, as explained below.
  • Government authorities when required by law, court order or for tax compliance.

Some of these providers may store data on servers outside India. Any such transfer will follow the rules notified by the Government of India.

6. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies are needed for the cart, checkout and login to work. Analytics and marketing cookies (such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags) help us measure visits and show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, some parts of the website may not work.

7. How long we keep your data

  • Order and invoice records: for as long as required under GST and tax laws.
  • Unpaid, failed or abandoned orders: deleted automatically after about 30 days.
  • Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and follow up, after which they are deleted.
  • Technical and security logs: for at least one year, as required by the DPDP Rules.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data, where we are not required by law to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email help@sumerawarq.in from the email address or mention the mobile number used for your order. We may ask you to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days.

9. Children’s data

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has shared data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. How we protect your data

We use reasonable security safeguards, including an SSL-secured (HTTPS) website, limited access to customer data, password-protected accounts, and regular backups. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected customers and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
