How To Apply
- Clean the surface and let it dry completely.
- Apply a thin, even coat of leafing adhesive.
- Wait until the glue turns tacky – usually 10 to 15 minutes.
- Lift a sheet with the tissue paper and lay it on the surface.
- Press gently with a soft brush or dry cotton, then brush away loose bits.
- Seal with a clear varnish or lacquer to stop tarnishing.
Care and Storage
Store flat in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Keep the booklet closed when not in use. Handle with dry hands or a gilding brush – moisture and oil from fingers will mark the leaf. Copper and silver tarnish faster than gold, so sealing finished work is recommended.

Is this real gold, silver or copper?
No. This is imitation leaf for art, craft and decoration. It is not edible and is not for use on food.

Do I need special glue?
Yes, a leafing adhesive works best. Ordinary fevicol or craft glue dries too hard and the leaf will crack.
